Temporary Restraining Order

During a marriage crisis or family upheaval, the levels of animosity can increase to a level that it may become necessary to set boundaries between the parties so that neither person needs to go around “walking on eggshells” in fear of the other person “getting in his or her face” or a potentially violent argument.

Or, perhaps there are assets that need to be “frozen” so that one party may not conceal or dispose of any property, close accounts, or incur debt, without informing and obtaining the other party’s permission. These are cases when a temporary restraining order from the court may be appropriate.
