Child Support
Child Support is to be set in a manner that is fair, and based upon each parent’s income and the time each parent is caring for the child. If you believe you are being unfairly penalized, either by child support that is set too low or too high, you are entitled to have the court set an amount that is fair, based upon guidelines set by the State of Washington. If it has been a couple of years since your Order of Child Support was entered with the court, you may be entitled to have the court substantially modify your original support order, especially if time has passed and either parent’s income has changed.
